Service businesses we serve
  • Home services
  • Cosmetic surgery
  • Dental implants, oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry
  • Fertility and IVF
  • Funeral, cremation and cemetery services
  • Flight schools

For agencies and partners: Use the Blueprint's findings and prepared instructions to plan work for a client. Discuss a client's website and market with Justin.

Buyers form their shortlist before their first inquiry

Someone researching a service may know what they need without knowing which business to contact.

  • “Which companies near me replace gas furnaces with heat pumps?”
  • “Which practices near me offer dental implants?”
  • “Which local funeral homes offer pre-planning?”
  • “Where can I train for a private pilot certificate?”

These illustrate the kind of service questions we investigate. Your 25 questions are selected independently around your business and market.

When they put those questions to ChatGPT or Google’s AI, you want your business to have a chance to make the list.

But checking your own company name tells you something different.

You have given the answer a clue a prospective customer may not have.

The useful check starts with the service they need. Does your company appear? Is it described accurately? Which businesses and sources show up instead?

The Blueprint investigates those questions and turns the findings into work you can act on.

A company-name search had given this owner the wrong impression

Vector Index AI was extremely helpful because it showed us that while our company does come up in AI searches when we are mentioned specifically (we thought our GEO presence was a lot stronger), once you deviated from a direct search by name and started asking more indirect questions about the services we provide, we were virtually nonexistent. They also provided us with clear insight into gaps in our GEO and how to fix them. I cannot recommend Vector Index AI highly enough.

Nathan WhighamPresident, Uncorrelated Alternative Investments*

GEO refers to visibility in AI-generated answers. The review describes what the audit revealed and the direction it provided.

Before you pay for the next change, know why it deserves to come first

A new service page. A corrected directory profile. A better use for content you already have.

Each is a different assignment. Before approving one, you should be able to answer: What have we found that makes this a priority for my business?

Your $750 gets that investigation completed and your first three priorities put in writing, with the evidence and wording or change specifications behind them.

You supply the business context. We select the questions, examine the answers, review your site and the cited sources, and prepare the recommendations.

Take the finished Blueprint to your provider. Decide what work to approve and who should carry it out.

See the difference a specific finding makes

These two findings come from one delivered cosmetic-surgery audit.** The client’s identity is withheld.

The practical questions apply across the businesses we serve: does a cited listing describe your business accurately, and what work would make use of the information already on your website? Your findings may be different. These examples show how evidence defines the next assignment.

A directory profile put the practice in another state

What we found: The practice’s website and a third-party profile showed different states and conflicting credential descriptions. The profile was cited 25 times in the recorded sample.

Why this mattered to the plan: Writing another page on the practice’s website would not, by itself, correct that third-party profile.

The recommended work: Resolve the credential description, correct the address and city, add the practice’s website, and ask directory support to confirm placement in the correct local listings. Changing an address may not move the listing into the right directory results.

Useful content was already written. The report gave it a specific job.

What we found: Ten relevant articles were missing from the site’s four sitemaps. The sample cited those articles four times, all to one article.

Why this mattered to the plan: The practice already had material to work with. The report identified specific articles to reuse and how to shape them around individual patient questions.

The recommended work: Add the missing blog sitemap and use the question-by-question page plan, with proposed titles and addresses and the competing websites cited in the answers. The sitemap omission was not established as the cause of the citation pattern.

See one entry from the page plan

Adapted from the report’s recommendations, with the client’s identity withheld:

The buyer question The existing asset The proposed page title
“How long is recovery after a deep plane facelift?” An existing article on that procedure’s recovery “Deep Plane Facelift Recovery, Week by Week”

The report noted what the pages already winning these answers have in common: an opening that answers the title’s question, headings using the patient’s language, and one page focused on that question.

A cited profile to correct. Existing articles to put to work. Specific instructions for each.

The report gave this owner a basis for deciding what to do next.

Your Blueprint applies that investigation to your services and market. You receive three priorities you can trace back to recorded findings, then review with whoever will make the changes.

Today’s Blueprint scope is listed below.

Here is what your $750 includes

The following package is the AI Shortlist Blueprint for service businesses. Selling products? See the AI Shortlist Blueprint for Retailers.

  1. The questions a company-name search misses

We independently select 25 buyer questions around your services and market. Each is asked four times across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews.

You see where your business appears, what the answers say and which other businesses are named.

  2. The evidence behind your next move

We review your homepage, up to nine relevant public pages, and the sources cited in the sampled answers. Your written findings connect recommendations to evidence you can inspect.

Your Source Map identifies cited third-party sources. Your Competitor Playbook shows the characteristics of businesses and sources that appeared, so you can compare their public information with yours.

  3. Three priorities prepared for action

Your top three findings come with Ready-to-Paste Wording or change specifications. A 30-day roadmap puts the recommendations in order.

You can discuss a defined piece of work with your provider instead of asking them to work out what the report means.

  4. Help after you receive it

Ask up to 10 questions about the report within 14 days, answered from its evidence. An optional 20-minute walkthrough is included in that window.

  5. A comparison at 90 days

The Proof Recheck repeats five original questions four times each across the same five engines. You receive a short comparison of what changed in that sample, including if nothing did.

For the service-business Blueprint

Want a smaller first step? The $149 AI Answer Check asks six questions once each on ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. You see which businesses the answers named, we review up to three of your public pages, and you get the single highest-value change to make. After payment you answer three quick questions, and the Check arrives in writing within two business days of your answers. There is no recheck and no call. If you then buy the Blueprint within 30 days of the Check’s delivery, the $149 counts toward it.

For the service-business Blueprint

You do not need to become an AI-search specialist

Your job is to tell us about your business and the customers you want. Our job is to investigate and give you the priorities, evidence and wording or instructions.

Keep your current web provider if you have one. Use the Blueprint as their brief.

If you would like Vector Index AI to make the changes, the optional AI Answer Sprint is offered after your Blueprint is delivered. It carries out the agreed work for the same brand, site and market under a written scope.

The Sprint is $3,500 upfront. Buy within 30 days of Blueprint delivery and the $750 Blueprint fee counts toward it: $2,750 additional, $3,500 total across both purchases.

You see your Blueprint before making that decision. Implementation is separate and optional.

Make the next decision with the findings in front of you

If you are about to approve website, content or AI-visibility work, this is the time to decide what evidence should guide it.

The directory example called for work on a third-party profile. The article example called for work with content the practice already had. Your Blueprint shows which priorities the sampled evidence supports for your business.

Get the Blueprint before committing to the next assignment. Bring your provider the findings, the evidence and the recommended work while you can still decide what to commission.

Pay, then submit your intake form. Your written plan arrives within five business days of submitting it.

Your fee comes with clear protections

Five-business-day delivery or a full refund.

The clock starts when you submit your intake form. If we miss five business days from that submission, we refund the full fee automatically.

Full refund until you submit your intake form.

Cancel any time before you submit your intake form and we refund the full fee, with no deadline. Submitting the intake form starts the work, and from then on you can no longer cancel for a refund. The delivery and first-pass protections still apply.

Already named throughout the first pass?

If your business is named in every question on the first sampling pass, before sampling spend passes $10, we stop and refund you. After that cutoff, the audit continues and records what is already in place.

Questions before you start

Why buy this if I already have a web or SEO provider?

Your provider may offer this investigation too. With Vector Index AI, you can commission it now as a defined, $750 assignment that starts the moment you submit your intake form, with written deliverables.

We handle question selection, repeated sampling, source and page review, and the recommendations. Your provider can use the finished evidence and brief to scope the work with you. You can keep that relationship and decide on implementation after seeing the findings.

Does the Blueprint make the changes or guarantee new customers?

The Blueprint supplies the investigation, written plan, support and limited recheck. You, your provider or a separately purchased Sprint implements the changes. AI answers vary. The Blueprint identifies changes worth making or testing; it does not guarantee future recommendations, rankings, inquiries or revenue.

How are the answers measured?

There are 500 planned attempts: 400 requests across four model APIs and 100 Google searches. We record missing AI Overviews and failed attempts as well as returned answers. The sample uses the APIs and Google results under recorded conditions. It does not reproduce each customer’s consumer-app session or measure how many customers ask those questions.

What do I need to do, and when does work start?

Pay, then fill in the intake form we give you straight after payment. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes and saves as you type. Work starts the moment you submit it, and your written Blueprint arrives within five business days. Until you submit, you can cancel for a full refund.

What if there is little worth changing?

The report says so and records what is already in place. Recommendations follow the evidence. If we cannot produce a meaningful finding or usable baseline, we may refund at our discretion. The delivery and early first-pass refund protections above are separate.

What happens if I choose the Sprint?

The agreed changes cover page copy and structure, business profiles, structured facts and citation targets. Delivery takes four to six weeks from payment and complete inputs and access.

At the Sprint’s 90-day recheck of agreed questions, if your business is not named in at least one recorded answer on at least one of the five engines, we continue working for another 90 days at no charge. That protection covers additional work and time.

Optional Stay the Answer upkeep is offered at Sprint handoff for $1,500 a month, month to month, with 30 days’ notice to end the agreement. Its work is defined in the written order.

Is the Blueprint a fit for my business?

If you sell products through your own website, see our dedicated AI Shortlist Blueprint for Retailers. The package on this page is for service businesses.

We focus on businesses people research before choosing: home service companies selling considered projects; cosmetic-surgery practices; dental implant, oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry practices; fertility and IVF practices; independent funeral homes, cremation businesses and cemeteries; and independent flight schools.

Each Blueprint covers one brand, one main website and one US market, in English. If it turns out not to suit your business or market, cancel before you submit your intake form for a full refund. Agency and partner arrangements use the route below.

Can I use this for an agency client?

Yes. Your client can purchase the Blueprint and name you as their web or SEO provider. Use the findings, wording and change specifications to plan the work with them.

To discuss an agency or vendor partnership, email Justin at [email protected] with the client’s website and target market before booking. Each Blueprint covers one brand, one main website and one US market for $750.
